MRP not running on 7410 for PIRs on 1416 entered 3 weeks ago. Few of the fall 2013 materials for the Blue Label (7410) plant are under MRP blocked status and their full REGEN status is also not updated.

It is observed that Planning File Entry is not flagged for those materials in Plant 7410.
Initially those Materials maintained in 1416 and Procured externally. A purchase requisition is created for external procurement. The Material later is extended to 7410 via LSMW,
There might be a chance of missing Planning File Entry if a material is Created/Extended using LSMW if a planning file entry check box is not flagged in step "Start Direct Input Program"

As planning file entry is not flagged for the materials it is not participated in MRP run.
We have tried to replicate the same in NEQ using the materials :
If we carry out MRP run using /AFS/MD02 proposals are generated.
So it is recommended to Flag the Check box Update Planning File entries, while Creation/Extension of materials.

Currently we do not have a planning file entry job for plant 7410.
We have a Job NA_MM_APPAREL_MRP, in which we have the following steps:

We see that no planning file entry is added in the above job.
There is a planning file entry step added for the plants 1416 and 1410 in job NA_MM_MRP

We see that the jobs scheduled as shown below:

Our Jobs are carried out such as to create a planning file entry and then carry out MRP, from above screen we see that NA_MM_APPAREL_MRP job is carried out at 19:00 hrs and the planning file entries step for the plants 1416 and 1410 is carried out after the MRP run.
As we see that MRP job for headwear is having planning file entry and then MRP run.
NA_MM_MRP job contains the following steps.

NA_MM_APPAREL_MRP Job has the following steps:

To make the Apparel MRP job similar to the headwear we can add four new steps before the 2nd existing step, i.e MRP run for 1420.

the steps highlighted above would be the newly added steps to the existing Jon : NA_MM_APPAREL_MRP, and the steps 8 and 9 for job NA_MM_MRP can be removed as it is added in above job.
By doing this we make sure that the MRP run Process is similar to headwear and Apparel.

Resolution

Need to Make sure that if a material is Created/Extended by LSMW, Planning File Entry Check BOx is flagged.
Create a Planning File entry for the materials.
Add a Planning File entry Job for all the Apparel Plants.
